Rainwater Tank Sediment Vacuuming

Providing clear, fresh water for you and your family

Are you aware that your rainwater tank requires regular maintenance to ensure that your drinking water is safe? According to the Department of Health, the collection and storage of rainwater introduces the potential for chemical, physical and microbial contamination. The most common hazards in water sources obtained from surface catchments worldwide, including roof run-off, are microbial pathogens of faecal origin (enteric pathogens). It is recommended that all tanks be examined for the accumulation of sediments every 2-3 years, or if sediment is evident in the water flow.
